Five Element Acupuncture

Classical Five Element Acupuncture dates back over 4000 years.  This ancient Chinese philosophy treats the root of your problem and allows your body to heal itself.  The principal elements of creation: Wood, Fire, Earth, Water and Metal are present within us all.  When the elements are in balance we can live joyful, healthy lives.  When they are out of balance, this can cause physical, mental and spiritual distress.

"The intention of Five Element Acupuncture treatment is to restore health and equilibrium to the body, mind and spirit."

The energy within us is known as Qi, this life force energy needs to be free to flow without blockage or restriction.  You and I are part of the Five Element cycle, continuously moving and transforming.  As nature passes through each season, from the bursting energy of spring to the complete stillness of winter, we too follow the same cycle of creation and rhythm.  As newborns entering this world we are spring, we reach maturity in late summer and just as the leaves fall from the trees, we rejoin the earth in autumn.  Winter is a time for nature to pause and restore until this wondrous cycle begins again.
